PDC Stats Analyst Christopher Kempf assesses the top ten PDC stars – based on their last 200 legs played – before this week’s Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton.
#1 Averages – Luke Littler
#1 OChE – Luke Littler
#1 Doubles – Luke Littler
#1 171-180 – Josh Rock/Luke Littler
#1 99, 101+ Checkout – Stephen Bunting

By claiming a title at Players Championship 33 and reaching a semi-final the following day, Chris Dobey not only secured a place in the 2025 Grand Slam but also reached a season-best 4th place in the Form Guide.
A 6.09 point increase in his OChE rating takes the Bedlington star to #3 in leg-winning efficiency, above Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price.
Dobey is enjoying his best form of the year, a higher average than he accumulated at any point during his Premier League campaign, whilst a total of 85 maximums puts him in the top 5 of the PDC.
These things alone may not present a case compelling enough to ensure his participation in another edition of the Premier League, but he has done the best he could in the last Pro Tour events of the year to bolster his darting C.V.
Wessel Nijman has attained his highest rank in terms of OChE after a Players Championship 34 title, finishing the 2025 Pro Tour season on a pace that would win him 61.2% of his legs against Pro Tour opponents.
The competition the 25-year-old will face at the Grand Slam – after qualifying at the last minute – will be stronger than that PDC average, but only Luke Littler, Gian van Veen and Dobey are more efficient at winning legs.
However, with a bumper crop of Dutch talent performing at the highest levels in the Form Guide, Nijman ranks only fifth amongst Dutch players with his 96 average.
The last televised meeting between van Veen and Nijman at last year's Grand Slam was a torrid affair for Nijman, whose average of 111 was not enough to gain a victory in the group stage – reaching the #1 spot among Dutch players is no easy task.
Last year's finalist Martin Lukeman had the tournament of his life at the 2024 Grand Slam, defeating two World Champions, winning his group and earning the largest paycheque of his career of £70,000.
Replicating that feat with his recent statistics looks to be a challenge, however, as Lukeman ranks 100th in averages out of 128 tour card holders.
His doubles percentage of 40.7%, the 20th highest, is higher than world number one Luke Humphries, giving the Watford arrowsmith hope of reproducing more magic in Wolverhampton.
If Lukeman is to avenge his 16-3 defeat to Luke Littler, he may have to do so in the short format of a group stage match and catch the World Champion on an off day.
Littler, on a 67.5 OChE, looks unlikely to lose to any player at the moment, much less a player 25 points behind him.
*OChE (Ordinal Checkout Efficiency) explained:
OChE is a metric designed to evaluate the efficiency at which players convert their averages into legs won.
The statistic is the % of legs a player would expect to win on the ProTour, calculated from a weighted average of 4,5, 6 & 7 visit checkout rates.
