Luke Littler is the pre-tournament favourite to retain the Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts title ahead of this year’s showpiece, which gets underway on Saturday.
The 2025 Grand Slam of Darts will take place from November 8-16 at Wolverhampton’s WV Active Aldersley, as 32 players go head-to-head for the coveted Eric Bristow Trophy across nine days of action.
Littler stormed to victory on his Grand Slam of Darts debut 12 months ago, averaging 105 across the tournament before dispatching Martin Lukeman 16-3 to scoop the £150,000 top prize.
The World Champion is priced as the 2/1 favourite to go back-to-back in Wolverhampton, ahead of world number one and 2023 champion Luke Humphries, who is a 5/1 shot to claim his second Grand Slam crown.
Three-time champion Gerwyn Price is 8/1 to emulate former glories, with newly crowned European Champion Gian van Veen rated as a 9/1 shot to claim successive televised ranking titles.
Northern Ireland’s World Cup champion Josh Rock and Dutch superstar Michael van Gerwen - also a three-time winner of the Eric Bristow Trophy - are both rated at 12/1, ahead of world number four Stephen Bunting at 16/1.
2022 runner-up Nathan Aspinall, Welsh number one Jonny Clayton and former Masters champion Chris Dobey are priced at 20/1, with rising Dutch star Wessel Nijman a 25/1 outsider, just ahead of two-time runner-up Gary Anderson at 28/1.
“It promises to be another fantastic Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts and it’s not surprising that the last two winners are at the top of the betting,” said Russ Yershon from Mr Vegas.
“With both Littler and Humphries on opposite sides of the draw, they could meet in the final for the first time here in Wolverhampton, in what could be another thrilling match between the two. Littler heads the betting as the 2/1 favourite with Humphries at 5/1.
“However, plenty of other players will look to take their scalp and navigate their way to the final in a bid to lift the Eric Bristow Trophy.
“Gerwyn Price is next best in the outright winner market at 8/1 followed by two in-form players in Gian van Veen at 9/1 and Josh Rock at 12/1.
“You also have three-time Grand Slam champion Michael van Gerwen at 12/1, with fan favourites Stephen Bunting at 16/1 followed by Nathan Aspinall at 20/1.
“Looking further down the list, last year’s semi-finalist Gary Anderson is priced at 28/1 to take the title home, after narrowly missing out in the 2018 final.
“One notable fact about the Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts is that the last three winners have then gone on to win the World Championship, so can it be four in a row this year?”
