Dan Dawson

Favourites - Luke Humphries
Despite that bruising scoreline in the final he had a good World Grand Prix campaign, and even though he might not be world number one for much longer, he is certainly playing like he is world number one again. I expect him to do well.
Favourites - Luke Littler
I actually think he could go out in the group stage, because Gurney, Scutt and Sedlacek are all capable of beating him. However, if he gets to the longer formats, he is the hardest player to beat in the world right now.
Contenders - Jonny Clayton
I was surprised not to see him among the favourites category, to be honest. The Ferret is flying again and seems the obvious choice to me as a contender.
Ones to Watch - Wessel Nijman
As tempting as it is to select the brilliant Beau Greaves, I think Nijman is a whisker away from having a huge impact in a big TV event. He has missed opportunities in recent weeks, but will not continue to do so forever.
Outsiders - Ricky Evans
Rapid Ricky has hit some form lately. He has produced a reliably good standard on the tour for a very long while now, and maybe lacked a little bit of fortune - but his luck might just be turning.
Long Shots - Alexis Toylo
We are still waiting for one of the Asian players to really make their mark on the PDC circuit, but Toylo could be the one to do it. His deliberate pace could be an issue for some opponents, but so could his quality, in a difficult-to-call Group C.
Mark Webster

Favourites - Luke Humphries & Luke Littler
I’ve gone for the two Luke’s because they are the best two players in the world. They are in opposite halves of the draw and although it won’t be easy, I expect them to dominate again.
Contenders - Danny Noppert
I think Danny has added that scoring power to his game. He’s hitting a lot more 180s now, and he’s always there or thereabouts, so maybe a big run is just around the corner.
Ones to Watch - Beau Greaves
Beau is the real deal, and she probably deserved to get through her group in the last couple of years. She has a tough draw with Van Gerwen, Anderson and Springer, but she’s been explosive lately, and I think she will have a massive say in that group.
Outsiders - Luke Woodhouse
Luke Woodhouse is a player that is improving week in, week out. He’s got a steady action, he’s solid, and he’s starting to make an impact in TV events. I think he’s got a good chance of getting out of his group, and then you never know.
Long Shots - Alexis Toylo
I know Alexis is in the same group as Luke [Woodhouse], but I just think he’s awkward. I don’t think players will enjoy playing him over such a short format. They might get impatient, and I think he could upset the apple cart.
