The Paddy Power World Darts Championship continues on Sunday, with world number four Stephen Bunting amongst the star attractions.
Bunting will take on Poland's number two Sebastian Bialecki for a place in round two, while 2022/23 semi-finalist Dimitri Van den Bergh meets Scottish newcomer Darren Beveridge.
Elsewhere, German debutant Lukas Wenig meets Dutchman Wesley Plaisier, while James Hurrell and Stowe Buntz lock horns in the evening's finale.
Earlier in the day, Joe Cullen, Nitin Kumar, Dom Taylor and Jonny Tata progressed to round two, with Cullen averaging almost a ton in securing his progress.
Afternoon Round-Up
Kumar created a slice of World Championship history on Sunday afternoon, becoming the first player from India to triumph on the sport’s biggest stage.
Kumar - roared on by a partisan Alexandra Palace crowd - defied five ton-plus finishes from Richard Veenstra to prevail in a five-set thriller, converting nine of his 12 attempts at double to complete a famous victory.
Cullen reaffirmed his credentials with a sparkling display against former World Youth Champion Bradley Brooks, averaging 99.33 and landing five 180s on his way to an emphatic straight-sets victory.
Taylor and Tata also marked their World Championship debuts with straight-set victories, overcoming Oskar Lukasiak and Ritchie Edhouse respectively.
Taylor converted a hat-trick of ton-plus checkouts in his demolition of Sweden’s World Cup star Lukasiak, while DPNZ number one Tata produced an impressive display to dump out 2024 European Champion Edhouse in convincing style.
The 2025/26 Paddy Power World Darts Championship will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK, through the PDC's worldwide broadcast partners including DAZN and Viaplay, and on PDCTV (excluding UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria & Switzerland based subscribers).
