Henderson headlines automatic Final Stage qualifiers at 2026 Q Schools

John Henderson (PDC)

Scotland's former World Cup champion John Henderson was amongst the players to advance to Final Stage of PDC Qualifying Schools, as First Stage reached its conclusion on Wednesday.

Day Three of the 2026 PDC Qualifying Schools saw First Stage conclude in Milton Keynes and Kalkar, as players compete across the week for the opportunity to claim a coveted two-year Tour Card for 2026-27.

Henderson, who steered Scotland to World Cup of Darts glory in 2021, was amongst the 16 players to secure automatic qualification from UK Qualifying School at Arena MK on Wednesday, conceding just two legs in the process.

The 52-year-old kicked off proceedings with a hat-trick of whitewash wins - featuring a brace of 101.55 averages -  before overcoming his fellow countryman Darren Armstrong to continue his bid for a return to the professional circuit.

Former Lakeside champion Scott Mitchell and 2005/06 World Championship semi-finalist Wayne Jones also secured automatic qualification, and they were joined by a further 47 players from the UK Qualifying School Ranking list.

Three-time World Champion John Part remarkably claimed the last remaining spot in UK Final Stage, as the Canadian icon aims to reclaim a Tour Card for the first time since 2018.

Switzerland's World Cup star Bruno Stoeckli was one of the 16 automatic qualifiers on Day Three at European Qualifying School, while Italian star Massimo Dante claimed top spot following three days of action.

Mason Whitlock - son of Australian legend Simon - finished fourth on the European Qualifying School Rankings, with Belgium's Brian Raman, Germany's Liam Maendl-Lawrance and Spain's Jose Justicia also progressing to Final Stage.

Final Stage - taking place from January 8-11 - will see Tour Cards awarded to the last two players of each day’s play at both UK and European Qualifying Schools, while the remaining Tour Cards will be awarded to the players who occupy the qualifying positions in the Qualifying School Ranking List.

At any point during Qualifying School, if two or more players are tied on points, they will be separated in the Ranking List by (in order until they can be split): leg difference, legs won, DartConnect average based on their totals in their matches. Results in all matches played at the relevant stage are included in this countback.

Charlie Manby - who reached round four on his World Championship debut - headlines the list of Final Stage entries in UK Qualifying School, where he will be joined by former Women's World Matchplay winner Fallon Sherrock, South African star Devon Petersen and darting stalwart Mervyn King.

Swedish star Andreas Harrysson will compete in Final Stage at European Qualifying School, alongside 2020 Grand Slam champion Jose de Sousa and 2015/16 World Championship semi-finalist Jelle Klaasen, who are both eyeing immediate returns to the professional circuit.
