Cristo Reyes, Jeffrey Sparidaans, Niall Culleton and Carl Sneyd secured PDC Tour Cards on Friday at Qualifying Schools in Kalkar and Milton Keynes.
Reyes headlined Friday’s Tour Card winners, and the Spaniard will return to the professional circuit for the first time in over five years after a string of excellent performances, which includes dispatching Matthias Ehlers 6-3 in his final match of the day.
The former World Cup star opened his account by taking 6-1 triumphs over Pascal Rupprecht and Michael Van De Den, before seeing off Dutchman Chris Landman in a last-leg decider.
Reyes then took three successive 6-3 victories against Canadian David Cameron, former World Youth Championship runner-up Jurjen van der Velde and Ehlers to secure his return to the Pro Tour, averaging over 96 in five of his six matches.
Sparidaans also secured his return to the professional circuit after a one-year hiatus, thanks to a dramatic deciding-leg victory over Michele Turetta.
The Dutchman led Turetta 5-1, but let his lead slip after the Italian hit an incredible 170 checkout to level the contest at 5-5, before Turetta squandered four match darts in the deciding leg to allow Sparidaans to secure a 6-5 win and his Tour Card.
Earlier in the day, Sparidaans defeated Tomoya Goto 6-2 to kick-off proceedings, before recording 6-3 wins over Mason Whitlock and Miroslaw Grudziecki.
The 32-year-old then won three last-leg deciders in a row to secure his Tour Card in dramatic fashion, against Belgian star Andy Baetens, Czechia’s Adam Gawlas and finally Turetta.
At UK Qualifying School, Culleton and Sneyd both secured their maiden Tour Cards after winning six consecutive matches in thrilling fashion on Friday.
Culleton defeated Kirk De Ruyter 6-3 in the opening round, before dramatically coming back from 5-0 down to conquer Sam Jackson 6-5.
The Irishman then accounted for veteran Mervyn King 6-2 and compatriot Damien Grimes 6-4 before defeating Sam Spivey 6-3 with a 98 average to set up a winner-takes-all clash with Danny Goddard.
Goddard - who hit a nine-dart finish to win his fourth round tie against Martin Grearson earlier in the day - initially led 5-4, but Culleton rallied to triumph 6-5 and get his hands on his first-ever PDC Tour Card.
Culleton was joined in the winners circle by Sneyd, as the latter began the day by seeing off Martin Tonks 6-1 and Tommy Morris 6-2 with relative ease.
The Englishman then got past fellow countrymen Daryl Hunt and Thomas Cromwell, before coming back from 5-2 and surviving match darts on multiple occasions against David Sharp to come out 6-5 winner.
Sneyd then faced Irish star Steve Lennon for the prospect of a Tour Card, and, after taking a 4-2 lead, saw out the contest 6-4 to ensure two years on the professional circuit.
Although Lennon ceded defeat for an immediate chance at a Tour Card, the Irishman leads the UK Q-School rankings, with Slovenian Benjamin Pratnemer in top spot of the European rankings at the halfway stage.
Saturday will offer the chance for four more Tour Cards to be won, with play commencing at 1300 CET in Kalkar and 1200 GMT in Milton Keynes.
PDC Tour Cards shall be awarded to the last two players left standing on each day’s play in Final Stage at both the UK and European Qualifying Schools.
In addition to the daily Tour Card winners, a further 13 Tour Cards will be awarded on a pro-rata basis to players from the respective UK and European Qualifying School Final Stage Rankings List following Day Four - with eight awarded in Europe and five in the UK.
Once a player has been awarded a Tour Card, they shall not play in the remainder of Qualifying School Final Stage and the next highest ranked players from the relevant First Stage Ranking Lists will be invited to play.
At any point during Qualifying School, if two or more players are tied on points, they will be separated in the Ranking List by (in order until they can be split): leg difference, legs won, DartConnect average based on their totals in their matches. Results in all matches played at the relevant stage are included in this countback.
