Joe Hunt claimed his second consecutive Winmau Challenge Tour title on Saturday, as Martijn Dragt also joined the winners’ circle in Milton Keynes.
Hunt followed his Event Two win on Thursday afternoon with further success on Saturday, claiming the Event Three crown to extend his winning streak after defeating former World Youth Champion Arron Monk 5-2 in the final.
The Isle of Wight star began his campaign by edging through 5-4 against Joseph Heywood, before seeing past fellow Englishman Andy Courtney 5-2.
Hunt then recorded 94 averages in successive games to down Frankie Ansell 5-3 and Matty Washbrooke 5-2, before recording his best performance of the day with a 101 average in his 5-1 demolition of former World Championship runner-up Andy Hamilton.
The former Players Championship quarter-finalist then emerged the winner of a 5-4 battle against Chas Barstow, before condemning darting icon Steve Beaton to a 5-2 defeat in the last eight.
After accounting for Alan Norris 5-2 in the semi-finals, Hunt recorded the same scoreline against Monk in the final, closing out the match with a 14-darter to record his 18th straight win and second Challenge tour title on the spin.
In Event Four, Hunt extended his winning run to an incredible 20 matches, before faltering 5-3 to Gilbert van der Meijden.
Nevertheless, it was Dragt that picked up their maiden Challenge Tour title in the second event of the day, after defeating Scott Waites 5-3 in the final.
Dragt started off Event Four with a 5-1 triumph over Levy Frauenfelder, before recording a trio of 5-3 wins against Daniel Klose, Patrick Geeraets and Charlie Symons.
Another 5-3 win followed for the Dutchman against Paul Rowley, before recording a 94 average to beat Gary Jackson 5-2, followed by victory over Irishman Steve Lennon by the same score in the semi-finals.
The 37-year-old then trailed 2-1 against Waites in the final, but after rattling off three consecutive legs, held his nerve to triumph 5-3 and win his maiden Challenge Tour title.
After two days of double sessions at Arena MK, the Winmau Challenge Tour will continue with Event Five on Sunday for non-PDC Tour Card Holders who competed at 2026 Qualifying Schools.
The top two players from the final 2026 Challenge Tour Rankings will secure a PDC Tour Card for 2027/28, with the top three players earning qualification for the 2026/27 Paddy Power World Darts Championship.
