Blue Square UK Open Semi-Finals

VINCENT VAN DER VOORT and Raymond van Barneveld set up the first ever all-Dutch PDC televised final at the Blue Square UK Open.

The final will be played at 7pm BST, over the best of 31 legs.

Vincent van der Voort 11-10 Colin Osborne

VINCENT VAN DER VOORT won a final leg shoot-out to defeat Colin Osborne and win a place in his first major final at the Blue Square UK Open.

The Dutchman trailed Osborne 5-2 during the contest as the Derby man set his sights on another big-name scalp to add to those of Michael van Gerwen and Mervyn King.

However, a superb fightback from van der Voort earned him a place in the first televised final of his career.

A brilliant 159 in the final leg, two treble 20s and treble 13, left him a 24 finish, and he returned to the oche - with Osborne sat on 40 - to hit double six and move into the decider.

"I'm delighted," said van der Voort, who will also now compete in the Grand Slam of Darts in November.

"It was an amazing game but it was such a relief to get the winning double."

Osborne began well by winning the opening two legs in 13 and 14 darts before being pegged back, but then won three in a row to take a 5-2 cushion.

A 141 finish from van der Voort slowed his progress, and the Dutchman had further high finishes of 91 and 99 to level at seven-all.

The next four legs went with the throw to leave the duo level at 9-9, but a missed double 16 from Osborne allowed van der Voort to take out double one and move to within a leg of the win.

Osborne hit double ten to send the game into a decider, but an unlucky bounce-out in the final leg, followed by van der Voort's 159, saw the momentum swing to the Dutchman.

Osborne returned to set up a 40 finish, but was never to get a shot as van der Voort missed double 12 but then landed double six at the first time of asking.

Raymond van Barneveld 11-4 Colin Lloyd

RAYMOND VAN BARNEVELD overpowered Colin Lloyd to remain on course for a second successive title at the Blue Square UK Open with an 11-4 win.

The Dutchman averaged a superb 102.82 per visit to the oche, landing seven maximums and hitting 11 doubles from 19 attempts in a strong display.

Lloyd did little wrong for much of the match, but his inability to match van Barneveld's scoring allowed the defending champion to capitalise.

He will now meet fellow countryman Vincent van der Voort in the PDC's first all-Dutch final, and said: "It will be exciting.

"When I came to Bolton last year I thought it was one of the best tournaments in the world and I was privileged to win it.

"Now I'm here in the final again and it's unbelievable I'm playing Vincent in the final. We've travelled the world together, won Pairs titles and are good friends."

Van Barneveld began the game with a 116 finish as the duo traded the first four legs in 15, 13, 14 and 15 darts with a high quality opening.

The World Champion stepped up the pace in leg five with a 13-darter and then took the next four legs - hitting seven perfect darts in one - to lead 7-2.

Lloyd won two of the next three, on double top and double four, but van Barneveld's seventh 180 of the game helped him take leg 13.

He punished Lloyd's missed double 18 for a 153 finish in the next to move 10-4 up, and wrapped up the win on double top.
