Davis & Kuczynski To Take On The World

AMERICANS Bill Davis and John Kuczynski will compete at the 2007 Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship.

Kuczynski, who reached the third round of the 2006 tournament at the Circus Tavern, was the furthest American at the World Series of Darts in May.

He defeated John Part in round one at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut and will return to Purfleet in December.

Kuczynski will be joined in crossing the Atlantic by Bill Davis, after he won a play-off of four American players in Las Vegas.

The 47-year-old from Philadelphia is enjoying his best ever year on the circuit, having qualified for the World Series of Darts as well as this week's PartyPoker.net Las Vegas Desert Classic.

He was knocked out 6-1 by Terry Jenkins on Wednesday, but with the other three American representatives also losing in the first round a play-off took place on Thursday.

Davis defeated Brad Wethington 5-4 in the first semi-final, with Darin Young then overcoming Ray Carver 5-2, and included seven perfect darts in one leg.

With the final tied at 2-2, Davis won three successive legs to book his place at the Circus Tavern in December.
