THE PDC can announce that two Players Championship tournaments will be held in Leiden on July 12 & 13, to replace the recently cancelled Thialf Darts Trophy.
The tournaments will be staged at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Leiden, which is situated between Amsterdam and The Hague and 20 minutes by train from Schiphol Airport.
The two Players Championship events will count towards both the main Players Championship Order of Merit and the European Order of Merit, giving further chances for players from Continental Europe to win a place in the autumn's European Championship.
PLEASE NOTE (21 May): Following consultation with the PDPA these two events have been postponed to give players more notice to organise travel and entry for these events.
Additionally, confirmation is still being waited on from the promoter of the Ireland Open Classic on September 7 of where the venue is to be and so players are advised not to make travel arrangements for either event until further confirmation is provided by the end of the week.
