Moston Wins Second JDC Event

JIM MOSTON was the winner of the second Junior Darts Corporation's second 2016 tour event as he edged out Tyler Radlett 5-4 in their final at the Cueball Club in Derby.

Stoke's Moston took the £100 first prize and secured qualification for the year's Finals Day by taking the victory in the second of six events to be held this year.

The youngster won through to the final for the loss of only one leg in an impressive day, before coming from 4-1 down against Radlett to win four successive legs and take victory with a 13-darter in the deciding leg.

Moston joins Event One winner Dan Perry as the first two of 16 qualifiers for the end-of-year "Pathway To The Palace" Finals, which will culminate in the final on stage during the World Championship at Alexandra Palace.

"This year I am truly astounded by the standard of junior darts," said JDC chairman Steve Brown. "Our tournaments are attracting some real quality - all of the competitors have fantastic ability."

The next JDC event will be held on Saturday July 9 at Rileys Worcester. For entry information or further JDC information, visit www.juniordarts.com or follow @JDCDarts on Twitter.
