Ouyang Wins Second Chinese Event

BIN OUYANG claimed victory in the second of ten events being staged on the new PDC-affiliated circuit in China, defeating Hu Ling in the final.

Following Dawei Zhang's triumph in the year's opening event in Qingdao, the action moved to Guangzhou for Event Two.

In a closely contested Final, Ouyang overcame the challenge of Hu Ling to book his place in the Chinese Qualifier for the Betway World Cup of Darts.

The opening set proved to be a crucial moment as Ouyang took a 1-0 lead, winning the set 3-2 in the deciding leg. Ling fought back to claim the second set 3-1 but it was Ouyang who held his nerve and won the decider 3-1.

Both players will now advance to China's World Cup Qualifier and will be joined by Wenfeng Zhang, Wenge Xie, Puchun Chen, Xuejie Huang, Di Zhuang, Bin Ling, who also reached the last eight in Guangzhou.

The first three events will count towards selection for places in the Chinese team at June's Betway World Cup of Darts, with the remaining seven acting as towards qualification for various PDC tournaments.

Stage Three will take place on April 23-24 in Ningbo to select another eight players to join the 16 already qualified for China's World Cup Qualifier.
