Parry Wins Oceanic Masters

WARREN PARRY has won the DPA Oceanic Masters for a second time, earning himself a place in the 2008 Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship.

The New Zealander picked up the prestigious title two years ago, and was victorious on home soil in the first Oceanic Masters to be played across the Tasman Sea.

Parry produced a superb fightback from 6-3 down in the final against 2005 Australian Grand Prix winner Brian Roach, taking four of the next five legs to send the match into a decider.

Parry then produced a 15-darter to take the title for a second time.

He had defeated Wayne Carey in the semis, with Russell Stewart going down to Roach.

The 43-year-old from Invercargill competed in the 2006 World Championship, where he took on Mark Walsh, and will return to England in December to compete at Alexandra Palace.
