THE PDC were saddened to hear of the death of American darts administrator Tom Sammarco in a car crash on Monday.
Sammarco, 60, was the preseident of the Boston-based Minute Man Dart League, and worked with the PDC promoting tournaments in north America.
PDC Tournament Director Tommy Cox said: "Tom was a wonderful man and our condolences go to his family at this sad time.
"Darts in north America would not be as strong as it is today had it not been for his hard work and dedication, especially within the Minute Man Dart League.
"I had the pleasure of his company on many occasions in Boston and in an era when darts is finally beginning to take off it is sad that he won't be able to see the full fruits of his labour."
