Suljovic Achieves Unique Nine-Darter

MENSUR SULJOVIC completed the most unconventional nine-darter recorded in competition on Sunday during the Eastern Europe Superleague event.

Suljovic had been undefeated going into his game with Roxy-James Rodriguez at the Montesino in Vienna, having won his opening 12 games of the Bulls Superleague season.

While he lost 6-3 against Rodriguez, the match will be remembered for his incredible nine-dart finish.

Suljovic opened a leg with 170 and then hit another 170 score, before taking out 161 to complete a perfect leg in unusual fashion.

Rodriguez's brother Rowby-John had also landed a nine-darter during last year's Superleague event, while Andree Welge landed a perfect leg in the German Superleague during 2014.

Jamie Caven has previously hit two unconventional nine-dart legs during PDC events, scoring 167, 180 and finishing 154 with two treble 20s and double 17 during a Players Championship in Crawley in 2010 before achieving another perfect leg in January this year at a European Tour UK Qualifier, scoring 171, 180 and taking out 150 with treble 20, bullseye and tops.
