UNIBET THROW SUPPORT BEHIND UNIBET CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
THE PDC are delighted to announce that Unibet will be the title sponsors of September's inaugural Champions League event, which will be live on BBC from the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff.
The eight-player tournament will see the PDC make history with its first tournament broadcast live by BBC Sport, following a new deal which was announced in February 2016.
The Unibet Champions League will take place on September 24-25, with the world's top eight players following July's World Matchplay qualifying to compete in Cardiff, where they will be drawn into two groups of four.
The players will play one group match per session on Saturday afternoon, Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon, before the top two players from each group proceed to compete in Sunday evening's decisive semi-finals and final.
Unibet's sponsorship of the Champions League sees them follow up their existing sponsorships of the European Championship and Masters, and adds to their new backing of the Unibet World Grand Prix, which will take place in October.
