THE latest World Rankings are now online, with two players locked in battle for the crucial 32nd place ahead of the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship.
The top 32 players in the PDC World Rankings on 28 November 2005 will qualify automatically for the Circus Tavern tournament next month.
There, they will be joined by 32 qualifiers, 16 from the PDPA Qualifying Tournament which takes place in Hull on Saturday 3 December and 16 International representatives.
Currently, Norfolk's Darren Webster occupies 32nd place in the rankings, five points ahead of Andy Smith.
However, Smith could take that final automatic qualifying spot should he win this weekend's Primus Masters in Belgium and see Webster take no points.
The category two tournament holds five points for the winner, and with Smith earning four points to Webster's three in last weekend's two events in Great Yarmouth, the Warwickshire player would prevail in a countback, which looks at the four previous events.
Peter Manley's win in the JR & Vauxhall Holiday Park Norfolk Mens Singles has seen him edge above Wayne Mardle into fifth place.
Further down the rankings, Andy Callaby's run to the semi-finals of that event has lifted him from 49th to 47th in the rankings.
That would see him among the 16 seeds for the PDPA Qualifying Tournament at the expense of Andy Hamilton.
John Magowan's run to the quarter-finals of Saturday's second event at Yarmouth has seen him move up to 54th in the rankings - crucially ahead of Tom Kirby.
Magowan is now likely to win a place at the World Championship as the highest ranked Irish player at the cut-off point next Monday.
