2025 Blåkläder Flanders Darts Trophy draw & schedule confirmed

Dave Chisnall (PDC Europe)

Dave Chisnall will begin his defence of the Blåkläder Flanders Darts Trophy against Jermaine Wattimena or Leon Weber, as the PDC European Tour resumes in Antwerp this weekend.

The year’s tenth European Tour event will see a 48-player field competing for the £30,000 top prize, as Chisnall sets his sights on back-to-back titles at the Antwerp Xpo.

Chisnall ran out an 8-6 winner against Ricardo Pietreczko to triumph in last year’s inaugural staging, and the St Helens star will headline this weekend’s action, which takes place from August 29-31.

Friday’s first round will feature 16 matches across two sessions, as Belgian number one Mike De Decker marks his return to home soil with a clash against Grand Slam of Darts runner-up Martin Lukeman.

Dirk van Duijvenbode will take on Sweden’s Jeffrey de Graaf - a winner on the Players Championship circuit earlier this week - as last year’s runner-up Pietreczko plays Ryan Joyce for a place in round two.

Dutch duo Gian van Veen and Wessel Nijman will face Czech opposition in Adam Gawlas and Karel Sedlacek respectively, while Joe Cullen and Ian White collide in a battle of the former European Tour winners.

Former UK Open champion Andrew Gilding meets Austrian icon Mensur Suljovic, as Northern Ireland’s World Cup winner Daryl Gurney goes up against Callan Rydz in another eye-catching clash.

Michael Smith and Raymond van Barneveld will also headline Friday’s first round, with the former World Champions pitted against Host Nation Qualifiers Mario Vandenbogaerde and Xanti Van den Bergh in their opening round ties.

The top 16 players on the PDC Werner Rankings Ladder will enter the tournament in Saturday’s second round, as reigning champion Chisnall sets his sights on a ninth European Tour crown.

World Champion Luke Littler - the top seed in the absence of Luke Humphries - will face either Dylan Slevin or Francois Schweyen in his opener, while Michael van Gerwen faces a potential all-Dutch showdown against Van Veen.

July’s Baltic Sea Darts Open champion Gerwyn Price will begin his bid for back-to-back European Tour titles against Joyce or Pietreczko, with third seed Stephen Bunting opening his campaign against Cullen or White.

Dutch Darts Champion Jonny Clayton could play 2022/23 World Champion Smith for a place in the last 16, as fifth seed Chris Dobey prepares to take on Krzysztof Ratajski or Steve Lennon in his second round tie.

Gilding and Suljovic will do battle for the right to meet Rob Cross, while German number one Martin Schindler faces either home hero De Decker or Lukeman for a place at Finals Day in Antwerp.

Elsewhere, Danny Noppert opens his title challenge against Van Duijvenbode or De Graaf, as Josh Rock marks his return to big stage action with a clash against Nijman or Sedlacek.

Following Saturday’s second round, the third round will take place on Sunday afternoon, before the tournament concludes with the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final in a blockbuster evening session.

Live coverage from the Flanders Darts Trophy will be streamed on DAZN for viewers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and through the DAZN Darts channel on Pluto TV.

Coverage will also be shown on PDCTV (excluding Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and through bookmakers' worldwide.
