Beau Greaves insists she will approach this year’s Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts with a different mindset following her record-breaking exploits over the last 12 months.
Greaves has enjoyed a sensational 2025 season, and she will become a permanent fixture on the professional circuit over the next two years after securing a PDC Tour Card via the Winmau Development Tour rankings.
The Doncaster darter won a hat-trick of Development Tour titles across the year, while producing a staggering 86-match winning run on the PDC Women’s Series circuit – claiming 13 consecutive titles in the process.
Greaves also generated major headlines last month by progressing to the Winmau World Youth Championship final, where she will take on newly crowned European Champion Gian van Veen.
This run featured an incredible semi-final victory over Luke Littler, where she defied a 107 average from the World Champion to become the first woman to advance to a World Youth Championship final.
“I absolutely love playing, I love the competitiveness of it all, so that drives me on,” insisted Greaves, a two-time winner on the Winmau Challenge Tour earlier this year.
“It’s amazing to have a Tour Card and now I’m looking forward to a busy end to the year.
“I know it’s going to be tough but that’s what I signed up for, and I just want to give it a good go.”
Greaves will make her third consecutive Grand Slam appearance at Wolverhampton’s WV Active Aldersley from November 8-16, as she bids to advance to the knockout stages for the first time.
The 21-year-old will take on three-time champion Michael van Gerwen in her opening game, with further matches against Scottish icon Gary Anderson and Germany's rising star Niko Springer set to follow in a blockbuster Group G.
Greaves has recorded round-robin victories over Ricardo Pietreczko and Cameron Menzies in the last two years, only to narrowly miss out on qualification to the last 16.
However, having claimed the scalps of Littler, Josh Rock and Raymond van Barneveld amongst others this year, Greaves has reaffirmed that she is capable of challenging and beating the world’s elite.
The two-time Women’s World Matchplay winner also gave world number one Luke Humphries a major scare in March’s UK Open, establishing a 7-5 cushion before succumbing in a high-quality Round Four tie.
“I’m playing some really good stuff in patches, but I think I can still improve,” added Greaves, who is eyeing a slice of Grand Slam history this week.
“I’ve got a lot more experience now, so I think my mindset will be a little bit different. I think in the past I’ve just wanted to perform, but now I want to win and have a good run.
“You’re playing against the best players in the world so it will be tough, but I always enjoy playing in Wolverhampton, and I’m looking forward to going back this year.”
The 2025 Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK, through the PDC's worldwide broadcast partners including DAZN and Viaplay, and on PDCTV (excluding UK, Germany, Austria & Switzerland based subscribers).
