PDC Stats Analyst Christopher Kempf assesses the top ten PDC stars - based on their last 200 legs played - ahead of the Paddy Power World Darts Championship.
#1 Averages - Luke Littler
#1 OChE - Luke Littler
#1 Doubles - Luke Littler
#1 171-180 - Luke Littler
#1 99, 101+ Checkout - Gerwyn Price

Now that Luke Littler has won back-to-back televised ranking titles in November, claimed the world number one position and is preparing to defend his World Darts Championship title, the darts world is facing a Nuke-lear winter unless one of his rivals can rise to the challenge of stopping this incredible rampage.
The most recent Form Guide figures, which track and rank the current form of darts' elite players, clearly indicate that this will be an extremely difficult task.
Littler is on the highest OChE rating yet observed in the Form Guide - against ProTour opponents, he would be winning 73% of legs, almost 10% more than any other player.
The reigning World Champion is winning an astounding 68% of his legs in 15 darts or fewer, giving his opponents a 5-10% chance of breaking his throw when he does so.
He is at the top of his game in scoring (46 180s per 100 legs played) and finishing (47% doubles), operating at a level few other players ever achieve in their careers.
Yet, no player has caused quite as many headaches for Littler this year as Gian van Veen, the only player not named Luke to have won a televised ranking title since October 2024.
The 23-year-old Dutch star defeated Littler in three of their five meetings in 2025 for a rare winning record against the best player in the world.
Van Veen is one of only three players currently sustaining a 100 average over the last 200 legs - behind Littler and Luke Humphries - and ranks third in the world in doubles accuracy.
In spite of his slightly lower average, Van Veen seems to have Humphries figured out, having won all four of their meetings in 2025.
However, not even a record-breaking average of 106.47 at the World Grand Prix could stave off a first-round defeat to Littler. In such circumstances, one wonders what Van Veen could possibly have done to win that match.
Nathan Aspinall also fell victim to Littler in the final of the Player Championship Finals, yet the Stockport star's strong displays at the tournament have helped him to reclaim a spot in the top 16 of the world rankings and the Form Guide top ten as a result.
Aspinall's average of 97 following his run to the final in Minehead still leaves him about seven points behind the world number one, but it surprisingly puts him in a better position than many of the year's top prospects like Josh Rock and Stephen Bunting.
The 34-year-old's 89 maximums over 200 legs puts him within three 180s of World Champion Littler, an excellent figure for a player not known for a comparable level of power scoring.
The world rankings have not been kind to Aspinall this year, especially after being unable to defend his earnings from his 2023 World Matchplay triumph, but a sixth-best OChE rating puts him in a good position to regain much of that lost ground next month.
Gerwyn Price has reached four televised ranking quarter-finals from the five most recent events, but has not survived many of his encounters with Humphries or Littler.
The 2020/21 World Champion reaches the tail end of 2025 as the third-ranked player in terms of his OChE rating. Price also stands as the second-most likely player to win a leg in 15 darts or fewer and has won 23 of his last 200 legs played with a three-figure checkout.
Price is certainly better positioned than almost anyone except Humphries or Littler to win a second world title and will enjoy a secure position on the world rankings for the next two years, but may need to finally conquer his greatest foes in the form of the Lukes if he is to achieve Ally Pally glory once again.
*OChE (Ordinal Checkout Efficiency) explained:
OChE is a metric designed to evaluate the efficiency at which players convert their averages into legs won.
The statistic is the % of legs a player would expect to win on the ProTour, calculated from a weighted average of 4,5, 6 & 7 visit checkout rates.
