GERMAN World Cup stars Max Hopp and Martin Schindler were joined by Rene Berndt and Maik Langendorf in qualifying for the German Darts Grand Prix.

Former World Youth Champion Hopp won through the Host Nation Qualifier in Munich to secure his spot in Easter's PDC European Tour event by defeating Karsten Kornath, Rene Eidams and Kevin Munch.

Hopp now plays Rowby-John Rodriguez on Saturday afternoon in the first round of the £135,000 tournament.

Berlin youngster Schindler overcame Sascha Hertrich, Erik Tautfest and Tobias Mueller as he progressed to face Chris Dobey on Saturday evening.

Berndt, who now meets Jonny Clayton, saw off Sebastian Andlinger, Gabriel Clemens, Gino Drobick and Manfred Bilderl as he qualified for his fourth European Tour event.

Langendorf, meanwhile, takes on another former World Youth Champion, Keegan Brown, after wins over Tobias Ploetz, Pascal Wirotius and Lutz Ilzhoefer in the Host Nation Qualifier.
