Conan Whitehead won his first PDC title at Winmau Challenge Tour Event 14 in Milton Keynes on Sunday, defeating William Borland 5-2 in the final.

Former Lakeside quarter-finalist Whitehead took the £2,500 top prize as non-PDC Tour Card Holders returned to the Marshall Arena, Milton Keynes for the fifth and final event of the weekend.

Whitehead began the day with victories over Jeroen Caron, Charlie Symons, David Ladley and Jarred Cole to reach the last 16.

There, he produced his best display of the day, averaging 97.86 in a 5-1 win over Dom Taylor.

Whitehead then overcame Australia's Jeremy Fagg and fellow-former PDC Tour Card Holders Harry Ward and Borland to pick up his maiden title win.
