Two-time World Champion Gary Anderson is now an 11/1 shot to get back in the winner's enclosure after progressing to the quarter-finals of the BOYLE Sports World Grand Prix at the expense of Joe Cullen on Wednesday.
Anderson lost just a solitary leg in a 3-0 whitewash win to set up a quarter-final meeting with Danny Noppert, who ended the challenge of fourth seed Stephen Bunting with a 3-1 victory.
Luke Littler remains 6/4 favourite ahead of his round two clash with defending champion Mike De Decker on Thursday evening at the Mattioli Arena.
However, Luke Humphries is hot on his heels at 11/4, after the world number one remained on course for a third consecutive appearance in a World Grand Prix final thanks to a 3-1 win over Krzysztof Ratajski.
Next up for the 2023 winner is a clash with Cameron Menzies in the last eight, following the Scot’s 3-1 victory over former World Champion Rob Cross in Wednesday’s opening tie.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BOYLE Sports, said: "It’s all about the Lukes at the head of the betting, but Gary Anderson is rolling back the years and punters are warming to the idea of another major title being added to his glittering CV.”
