The schedule of play for round one of the 2026 BOYLE Sports World Grand Prix has been confirmed, as reigning champion Luke Littler headlines Monday’s opening night in Leicester.

The unique double-start event will take place at the Mattioli Arena from September 28-October 4, as a bumper 32-player field competes for a newly-boosted £150,000 top prize.

The tournament gets underway from 1800 BST on Monday September 28, with round one split across the opening two sessions on September 28-29.

World number one Littler opens his title defence against an in-form Luke Woodhouse, as he bids to join Phil Taylor and Michael van Gerwen in becoming the third player to retain the World Grand Prix crown.

Six-time champion Van Gerwen will also star on Monday’s opening night, with the Dutch superstar pitted against 2024 semi-finalist Ryan Joyce.

Former champions Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton will play Polish duo Sebastian Bialecki and Krzysztof Ratajski respectively, as 2022 runner-up Nathan Aspinall faces Kevin Doets in another eye-catching tie.

World number two Luke Humphries will be amongst the star attractions on Day Two in the East Midlands, as the 2023 champion meets two-time runner-up Dave Chisnall for a place in the last 16.

Tuesday’s action will also feature an all-Dutch clash between European Champion Gian van Veen and 2020 runner-up Dirk van Duijvenbode, while two-time champion James Wade kicks off his campaign against 2023 semi-finalist Joe Cullen.

Scottish icon Gary Anderson will be another high-profile name in action on Day Two, and the 2016 runner-up will lock horns with Australian number one Damon Heta in his opener.

Following the conclusion of Tuesday’s play, round two will be split across Wednesday and Thursday evenings, with the quarter-finals taking place on Friday October 2.

Saturday October 3 sees the semi-finals take place on a blockbuster night of action, before the remaining two players battle it out in the final on Sunday October 4.
