THE tournaments section of the website has now been updated to include details of closing date for entries and venues of all PDPA Players Championship events.
The Players Championship event in Wales will take place in the Newport Centre in Kingsway, Newport on 24th September and the closing date for entries for this event is 15th September at 4pm. Entry is for PDPA members only and costs £65.
A day later the Budweiser UK Open Welsh Regional Final takes place in the same venue. Entry into this event is £55 and is also open to non-PDPA members. The closing date for this event is also 15th September.
October sees the PDC's next major tournament, the SkyBet World Grand Prix in Dublin but events in the Emerald Isle kick off with another Players Championship event on 22nd October the closing date for which is 13th October and costs, as all Players Championship events do, £65 to enter.
Each Players Championship event has a prize fund of £20,000 of which the winner receives £5,000. As usual, a day later sees the Budweiser UK Open Regional Final of Dublin with a 13th October closing date and also open to non-PDPA members. Both events take place in the CityWest Hotel just like the World Grand Prix.
In November the UK Open and Players Championship events move on to Scotland. Both events have a closing date of 27th October at 4pm and will take place at the Magnum Leisure Centre in Irvine, Ayrshire. The Players Championship is on Saturday 5th November and Sunday sees the Regional Final take place.
November also sees two Players Championships take place in Holland at the Tulip Hotel near Amsterdam on 12th & 13th November.
However, these events will also be open to non-PDPA members if players are residents of Holland, Germany or Belgium at a price of £75. Full details of these events, and all those mentioned above can be found in the calender of the tournaments section on this site.
