Daryl joined the PDC in 2013 and has since emerged as a contender at the top level with some impressive displays, which culminated in his first TV title at the 2017 World Grand Prix.
A former Northern Ireland Open winner and two-time Lakeside Championship qualifier, Gurney's win at the 2012 Tom Kirby Memorial Irish Matchplay saw him secure his PDC World Championship debut and was followed by him winning a PDC Tour Card at the 2013 Qualifying School.
A run to the semi-finals of the 2015 Players Championship Finals saw Gurney make his mark on the big stage as he moved into the world's top 32.
He partnered Brendan Dolan to the semi-finals at the 2016 World Cup of Darts and was a quarter-finalist in the World Grand Prix before also winning through to the last eight at the 2017 World Championship.
After reaching another Minehead semi-final at the 2017 UK Open, Gurney went on to win his maiden PDC ProTour title at a Players Championship in Barnsley.
Gurney's World Series of Darts debut in the U.S. Darts Masters in Las Vegas was followed by a run to the semi-finals of the World Matchplay and inclusion in further World Series events in Auckland, Melbourne and Perth.
The Northern Irishman then went on to claim his maiden TV title at the 2017 World Grand Prix, conquering the double-start format with a win over Simon Whitlock in the final.
Gurney landed his second TV title at the 2018 Players Championship Finals, defeating Michael van Gerwen 11-9 in a thrilling final.
A strong start to 2019 saw Gurney competing in his second Premier League campaign, while he picked up his first European Tour title at the German Darts Championship in March 2019.
