Rileys Qualifiers - April 7&8

ANDY BOULTON, Andrew Gilding and Paul Harvey are the first Rileys Qualifiers for the Speedy Hire UK Open.

Bungay's Gilding (pictured), a 40-year-old from Bungay in Suffolk, defeated Robert Turner 3-0 in the final of Friday night's qualifier at the Rileys Norwich club.

Gilding, a former British Open finalist who has only been competing in events for less than four years, only dropped two legs in his final three games as he won a place in June's Speedy Hire UK Open at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton.

Boulton, meanwhile, ensured a third visit to the UK Open by winning the Rileys Inverness Qualifier, whitewashing his final three opponents along the way, including finalist Donald Mackay.

Paul Harvey, meanwhile, won the Burton Qualifier to earn a debut in the UK Open.

The Rileys Qualifiers are being held in Rileys Darts Zones across the UK throughout April, with 14 more knockouts being played on the weekend of April 9-10.

Results and qualifiers will be posted at PDC.tv throughout the qualifying events.

The Speedy Hire UK Open will be played from June 2-5 at the Reebok Stadium, Bolton. Tickets are available now from the Reebok Stadium Box Office in person or via 08448 712932.
