THE PDC ProTour returns to action with the Canadian Players Championships on August 27 & 28 at the Hilton London Ontario.
Over 150 players will compete across the weekend in Canada, with 48 PDPA members joined by in excess of 100 non-members from north America for each day's play.
Saturday will see the London Ontario Players Championship take place, with 158 players entered for the £35,000 event, while 149 competitors have entered Sunday's Canadian Masters Players Championship.
The entrants include the players ranked fifth and seventh in the world, Simon Whitlock and Wes Newton, as well as top 16 stars Paul Nicholson and Colin Lloyd.
A host of other players looking to either pressurise the top 16 or secure qualifying places for October's World Grand Prix are also travelling to Canada, including Ronnie Baxter, Jamie Caven, Colin Osborne, Denis Ovens, Kevin Painter, Alan Tabern, Steve Beaton, Co Stompe, Robert Thornton, Dennis Priestley, Mark Dudbridge, Steve Brown, Canada's John Part, Jelle Klaasen and Peter Wright.
Players from outside of the world's top 32 who are competing include Barrie Bates, Michael van Gerwen, Tony Eccles, Justin Pipe, Kevin McDine, Mark Hylton, Kirk Shepherd, Steve Hine, Richie Burnett, Roland Scholten and recent World Matchplay debutant Scott Rand.
Part's Canadian partner in the Cash Converters World Cup of Darts last year, Ken MacNeil, will also compete, alongside the USA team of Darin Young and Bill Davis, while John Kuczynski, Larry Butler, Shawn Brenneman and Paul Lim also return to action on the PDC ProTour.
Last year's events were won by Jamie Caven and Colin Lloyd, with Dennis Priestley victorious in the 2009 Players Championship.
Saturday's event will be followed by the North American Qualifier for the PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship.
Players must register before 11am on each day, with the Players Championship events beginning at 12pm and being played as the best of 11 legs throughout.
