2011 South African Masters Info

THE 2011 South African Masters will be held on Saturday October 1 in Gauteng, with a place in the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship.

The tournament, previously won by Wynand Havenga, Charles Losper, Les Francis and Devon Petersen, will give South African players the chance to emulate them by competing at Alexandra Palace in December in darts' biggest event.

The South African Masters itself will offer R29,000 in prize money, with entry costing R150 and available via Jon McGowan on 082-8736046, or by downloading and completing the entry form.

The South African Masters will be held at the Transnet Rail Engineering Recreation Club, Kilnerpark, Gauteng, the event will see players compete for four hours in 'Saturday Frenzy' to throw a leg of 501 in the fewest number of darts.

The top eight players will then progress to compete in the knockout stages, with the winner claiming R10,000 and a place in the Preliminary Round of the World Championship in December.
