Kime Wins Oceanic Masters

GEOFF KIME has won the 2011 Oceanic Masters, defeating Barry Jouannet in the final as he secured a place in the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship.

Kime followed up September's maiden win on the Australian Grand Prix circuit, in Redcliffe, by taking victory at the Boorowa Recreation Club, NSW.

He enjoyed wins over Kevin Luland, David Platt, Robbie King and Warren Parry before defeating Jouannet - a former champion - 9-7 in the decider.

Kime hit finishes of 158 and 120 in the final, coming from 2-1 down to lead 4-2 and retained his advantage throughout the remainder of the contest to secure the biggest win of his career.

Kime will now join DPA Order of Merit winner Sean Reed in qualifying to compete at Alexandra Palace in December in the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship.
