European Tour 3 Qualifiers

BROTHERS Kim and Ronny Huybrechts were amongst the European-based qualifiers for the third European Tour event on Saturday morning.

The final 12 places in the European Darts Open, which will be held from July 6-8 at the Maritim Hotel in Dusseldorf, were decided with the staging of the Host Nation Qualifier and European Qualifier at the Tempodrom in Berlin.

Emerging star Kim Huybrechts, who is still competing in the German Darts Championship event at the Tempodrom, secured his plae in the third European Tour event with wins over Zdravko Antunovic and Mensur Suljovic.

He was joined in qualifying by brother Ronny, who will compete in his first European Tour event following victories over Toon Greebe and Roland Scholten.

Dutch stars Michael van Gerwen, Jelle Klaasen, Gino Vos and Ryan de Vreede also qualified, alongside Sweden's Magnus Caris and Croatian Tonci Restovic.

The four German-based qualified include Kevin Munch, who had competed in Friday's European Tour event two and defeated Michael Rosenauer in their decider.

Maik Langendorf denied Jyhan Artut in a deciding leg to progress, and was joined by Karsten Kornath and Tomas Seyler in winning his place in Dusseldorf.

The 12 players join the 20 UK Qualifiers in competing alongside the 32 seeded players in the third European Tour event at the Maritim Hotel in Dusseldorf from July 6-8.
