THE draw for the third European Tour event, the European Darts Open, has been made following the completion of qualifying for the £82,100 event.
The European Darts Open will be held at the Maritim Hotel in Dusseldorf from July 6-8, and is the third of five European Tour events which will be held this year.
The leading 32 players from the PDC Order of Merit who entered - which was 32 of the world's top 34 stars - were seeded through to the first round proper, where they were drawn against the 20 UK Qualifiers, eight European Qualifiers and four Home Nation Qualifiers.
Following the completion of the qualifying on Saturday morning in Berlin - where Belgian brothers Kim and Ronny Huybrechts were joined in winning Dusseldorf places by Jelle Klaasen, Michael van Gerwen and Sweden's Magnus Caris - the draw for the European Darts Open has been made.
Number one seed Adrian Lewis plays German qualifier Karsten Kornath, with James Wade drawn against Caris and number three seed Gary Anderson facing Scott Rand.
Raymond van Barneveld drew Ian White in the first round, Wes Newton plays Steve Maish, Simon Whitlock drew Ross Smith and Andy Hamilton meets World Youth Champion James Hubbard.
Paul Nicholson faces emerging star Kim Huybrechts in a tasty first round contest, while Terry Jenkins drew Joe Cullen and Kevin Painter meets Dutch qualifier Ryan de Vreede.
