CAMPBELL JACKSON & Daryl Gurney will contest the final of the Tom Kirby Memorial Irish Matchplay in October, as they play off for a place in the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship.
The pair won through to the decider when the tournament's early rounds were held at the Red Cow Moran Hotel in Dublin on Sunday August 26, with over 100 players from the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland entering the event.
The tournament, won last year by Connie Finnan, saw a nine-dart finish hit by Marty Moreland during the last 16, albeit in defeat as he lost to Darren Clifford.
Clifford was amongst the quarter-final losers alongside former PDC professional Jacko Barry and former World Grand Prix qualifier Martin Murphy, while Kevin Burness and David Murphy were semi-final losers to Jackson and Gurney respectively.
The Northern Irish pair will now play off before the PartyPoker.com World Grand Prix final at Dublin's Citywest Hotel on Sunday October 14 to win the prestigious title, which is named in honour of the late Irish professional Tom Kirby.
The Tom Kirby Memorial Irish Matchplay final will begin at 6pm on October 14 and be played over the best of 11 legs.
