ACCOMMODATION packages for the Killarney Darts Festival are being snapped up quickly as October's weekend of darts approaches.
This year, two Players Championship tournaments will be played during the three days of action at the Gleneagle Hotel & INEC in Killarney from October 19-21.
The Killarney Darts Festival will begin on the evening of Friday October 19 with the Ladbrokes Irish Masters event, which is open to all darts players and offers a €5,000 first prize.
Saturday will see the Gleneagle Hotel Players Championship take place, with Sunday's John McEvoy Gold Dart Players Championship accompanied by the Silver Dart Ladies' Open and Bronze Dart Youths' Open being held at the INEC complex.
The Gleneagle Hotel, which adjoins the INEC, is proving popular with over half of the available rooms now booked, while only a small number of The River Apartments remain available.

Event Information
The two Players Championship events will be open to both PDPA members and non-members who are resident outside of the United Kingdom, including players who have, or are eligible to receive, a Republic of Ireland passport.
PDPA members will enter the Players Championship events as usual via the PDC Online Entry System. Entries close at 2pm on Tuesday October 9.
Non-members can choose to enter the Players Championships directly for €125 per event, or they can enter a Qualifier which will be held on the morning of each event, with entry to the Qualifier priced at €30 with 32 players progressing to compete in the main event.
The closing date for players entering the main Players Championship events is 2pm on Tuesday October 9. Entry for the Players Championship Qualifiers and the other non-ranked events closes at 2pm on Thursday October 11.
Entry to the Ladbrokes Irish Masters will cost €30, with that event beginning at 6.30pm on Friday October 19. This event is open at all players aged 14 or above.
Entry for the John McEvoy Silver Dart Ladies' Open is €15 and entry for the John McEvoy Bronze Dart Youth's Open is €10, with both events beginning at 12pm on Sunday October 21.
