THE 2013 PDC ProTour Qualifying School will be held from January 17-20 at the Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan.
The four-day event will see players earn Tour Cards to compete on the PDC ProTour next year, giving them the chance to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Dave Chisnall and Dean Winstanley.
Chisnall was the stand-out performer following the inaugural Qualifying School in 2011, reaching the world's top 32 inside a year and rising up to 13th in the PDC Order of Merit so far in 2012.
Winstanley (pictured) was amongst the players who won Tour Cards this January, and he has since competed in both the Speedy Services UK Open and qualified for the Betfair World Matchplay, where he knocked out world number four Gary Anderson.
Other stars who have won Tour Cards since Qualifying School was introduced two years ago include South Africa's World Cup star Devon Petersen, Belgium's Kurt Van De Rijck and James Richardson, who capped his first year on the professional circuit by knocking Raymond van Barneveld out of the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship.
Entry to the 2013 Qualifying School will open on Monday October 1, with entries being made via www.pdpa.co.uk.
