International Qualifiers Confirmed

THE International Qualifying places for the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship have been confirmed.

The world's biggest darts tournament, the £1 million Ladbrokes World Darts Championsihp, will feature 72 players competing across 15 days at London's Alexandra Palace from December 14-January 1.

The top 32 players from the PDC Order of Merit qualify by right and are seeded in the first round draw bracket, with the remainder of the field comprised of 40 qualifiers.

There will be 16 qualifiers to come from the ProTour Order of Merit, with four further qualifiers coming from the European Order of Merit.

Four other players will join them in entering at the first round stage, with the North American ProTour Order of Merit winner, Darin Young, to be accompanied by the PDPA Qualifier winner from the knockout event to be held on Monday November 26, the DPA Australian Grand Prix champion and the Oceanic Masters winner.

A further 16 players will compete in the preliminary round, with these places mainly comprised of international qualifying events being held around the world.

New Zealand National Champion Dave Harrington has already secured his place alongside Japan's Haruki Muramatsu, German ace Andree Welge, the Bild Superdarter champion, and SDC ProTour Order of Merit leaders Jarkko Komula and Jani Haavisto, both from Finland, have also qualified.

The winner of the Tom Kirby Memorial Irish Matchplay final between Daryl Gurney and Campbell Jackson on Sunday October 14 will also qualify, alongside the winners of international qualifiers to be held in South Africa, China and the Philippines.

Further regional events will be held in West Europe, East Europe, South Europe and South Asia in the coming weeks for further players to secure their places at Alexandra Palace.

The runner-up from the PDPA Qualifier and the final 2012 PDC Unicorn Youth Tour Order of Merit leader will also qualify to compete in the preliminary round.

The South Asia Qualifier will be open to players from the following countries: Bhutan, Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Laos, Malaysia, Mongola, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam.

The Ladbrokes World Darts Championship will be held from December 14 2012-January 1 2013 at Alexandra Palace in London.
