Marjanovic Wins Eastern Europe Qualifier

ROBERT MARJANOVIC is the final International Qualifier for the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship after winning the Eastern Europe Qualifier in Kranj.

Players from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Hungary took part in the tournament, with last year's winner Oliver Ferenc reaching the quarter-finals before losing out to Perle Gyula.

Two other former World Championship qualifiers, Boris Krcmar and Nandor Bezzege, reached the last eight, with the latter losing out to Marjanovic.

Marjanovic then overcame Sebastijan Zadravec 6-1 in the semi-finals and repeated the scoreline in the final against Gyula.

The Croatian has played previously in Players Championship events in Germany and Austria, reaching the last 64 in Halle in January 2011, and will be appearing in a major televised event for the first time at Alexandra Palace.

Marjanovic is the final International Qualifier to secure his place at the World Championship, with the final qualifying places going to the finalists from next Monday's PDPA Qualifier in Barnsley before the field is finalised.

The draw for the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship first round will be made on Tuesday December 4 at 11.30am, live on Sky Sports News.
