Finn & Daly Seal World Youth Spots

DEAN FINN and Oisin Daly are the Irish Qualifiers for the PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship.

The pair won through last weekend's qualifying tournament, which was held as part of the Tramore Winter Gala, and will compete in the World Youth Championship Last 64 on March 22 at the Barnsley Metrodome.

Waterford's Finn secured his place in the event by dropping only one leg in latter stage victories over Dylan Sinclair, Liam Gallagher and Ryan Maher.

Daly sealed his place with 4-1 wins in his last two games against James O'Connor and Conor Heneghan - the brother of Martin, another Irish youngster who has already qualified through the Youth Tour Order of Merit.

Paddy Meaney and John Seagrave joined Martin Heneghan in qualifying through the Youth Tour Order of Merit for the World Youth Championship, ensuring there will be five Irish representatives in the tournament.

The strength of youth darts in Ireland was also shown during the Tramore Winter Gala, with Seagrave, Meaney and Finn amongst the winners of the other events held during the weekend at O'Shea's Hotel in Tramore, Co Waterford.
