THREE German aces were amongst the eight European Qualifiers for the UK Masters European Tour event in Minehead, after winning their spots in Thursday's knockout in Hamburg.
The European Qualifier for the opening £100,000 European Tour was held at the Alsterdorfer Sporthalle in Hamburg, with eight places in the UK Masters event, at the Butlins Minehead Resort from March 8-10, on offer.
Germany's Jyhan Artut and Finland's Jarkko Komula both warmed up for their participation in the Betfair World Cup of Darts at the same venue this weekend by winning their spots in the UK Masters.
Artut was joined in qualifying by fellow Germans Bernd Roith and Tomas Seyler, who defeated Austrian World Cup representative Maik Langendorf in their decisive match.
Austria's Mensur Suljovic, though, did manage to qualify as he defeated Dutch pair Mareno Michels and Roland Scholten and Finland's Marko Kantele on the night, and he was joined in winning through by Michael Rasztovits, who edged out Leon de Geus 6-5 to qualify.
Belgium's Kurt Van De Rijck saw off Spanish World Cup ace Antonio Alcinas and Leo Hendriks as he qualified, while Dutchman Jelle Klaasen overcame three players who will compete in the World Cup as he won through with victories over Dyson Parody, Daniele Petri and Carlos Rodriguez.
The UK Qualifier for the UK Masters European Tour event will be held on Friday February 22 at the K2 Centre in Crawley, where 24 qualifiers will complete the field for the £100,000 event, alongside the top 32 players from the ProTour Order of Merit.
