PDC Star Caven Set For Book Release

JAMIE CAVEN is to release a new biography chronicling both his PDC career and the issues he has overcome in his rise to the upper echelons of the sport.

The Derby ace, 37, has overcome diabetes and blindness in one eye to establish himself inside the world's elite in forging a successful darting career.

A World Youth Masters winner 20 years ago, he has gone on to win five ranking titles and been a quarter-finalist in the UK Open and European Championship, and is currently ranked 33rd in the PDC Order of Merit.

Caven has now documented his journey in a new book, "The Way Eye See The Game - The Jamie Caven Story", which was written with David Kirby and includes a Foreword from World Champion Phil Taylor.

The book will be available from Tuesday April 23 via Amazon, costing £6.99 for the paperback version and £2.95 for Kindle.

The book is described as follows on Amazon:
This is a biography around Jamie Caven’s darting career to date and a look at the issues he has had to overcome, on his journey into the professional game of darts. It covers Jamie’s career from his first ever league game at the age of 13 where he averaged 85, through to his World junior title at 17 and including his many wins on the professional tour.

All this has been achieved from a backdrop of diabetes and blindness in one of his eyes. This is truly a remarkable story centred on a wonderful individual and should serve to inspire all of us involved in the world of darts.
