PDC Unicorn Challenge Tour Entries

ENTRIES for the next two PDC Unicorn Challenge Tour weekends, to be held on May 11 & 12 in Wigan and on July 13 & 14 in Barnsley, are still available.

The PDC Unicorn Challenge Tour - which is open to players aged from 14-25* - has made a hugely successful start with the first two weekends, which were held in Barnsley and Wigan.

The next weekend of Challenge Tour action will take place on May 11 &12 at Wigan's Robin Park Tennis Centre, before the year's fourth weekend is held on July 13 &14 at the Barnsley Metrodome.

Each weekend features three tournaments which are each worth £3,000 in prize money, with two taking place on the Saturday and one on the Sunday.

Entry to each event costs £30, with all entries to be made online before the entry deadline, which is 5pm on the Friday immediately preceding each weekend.

Entry Information
* The PDC Unicorn Challenge Tour events are open to any player aged from 14-25, other than players ranked in the top 64 of the PDC Order of Merit at the time entries close (5pm on Friday May 10 & Friday July 12).

Players can play from the day they turned 14, while players aged 25 or younger on January 1 2013 can enter all tournaments during 2013.

Entry will cost £30 per player per event, and entries will close at 5pm on the Friday immediately before each Challenge Tour weekend.

Players who have previously entered events online through the PDC's Online Entry System will use their existing Username and Password to login and enter online. If you have forgotten your login details please contact the PDC to receive these again.

Saturday May 11 2013
9.30am-11am - Event 7 Registration
12pm - Event 7 Begins
Before 3pm - Event 8 Registration
Not Before 4pm - Event 8 Begins

Sunday May 12 2013
9.30am-11am - Event 9 Registration
12pm - Event 9 Begins

Format
Each event will be played over the best of seven legs throughout. The draw will be made following the close of registration, and will be an unseeded, open draw. These events will operate on a Loser Marks basis.

Guests
Players will be allowed up to two non-transferable bona-fide guests each and must provide names of these guests to the PDC’s security if requested at the security desk on arrival at the venue. Please note that no one wearing football shirts of any kind or children under 11 years old will be admitted.

Upon registration inside the venue, players will have to register their attendance firstly at the PDC security desk and then also at the PDC registration desk, which is where players confirm their attendance ahead of the draw.

Prize Fund
Each tournament has a prize fund of £3,000 split as follows:

Runner-Up £300
Semi-Finalists £200
Quarter-Finalists £100
Last 16 £75
Last 32 £50
All prize money will be paid directly into the winner’s bank account by the PDC within 14 days of the event.

Players Please Note:
A full Players Brief is issued via email to players who enter these events, and sent to the email address registered in the PDC Online Entry System.
Entry to PDC Unicorn Challenge Tour events is open to any player aged 14-25 as per the guidelines above - there is no requirement to be a PDPA member.
All entries must be made online in advance of each event before the entry deadline, and no entries in cash will be taken on the day of any event.
