Derby Rivals Clash On The Oche

THE CORAL MASTERS comes to Edinburgh this weekend – just 48 hours after another sizzling sporting clash in Scotland's capital city.

Ahead of the greatest 16 darts players on the planet competing at the Royal Highland Centre this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, old rivals Hibs and Hearts have their own score to settle.

The Edinburgh football clubs are in action at Easter Road on Wednesday night, kicking off at 7pm and competing for a place in the semi-finals of the Scottish Football League Cup.

To promote both the cup tie and The Coral Masters, Hibs' top scorer Liam Craig and Hearts' keeper Jamie MacDonald met up at the oche to try to claim an early psychological victory.

You can see how they got on on with a special video feature with BBC Scotland's Reporting Scotland (click here to view at 22.45) – safe to say, there could be extra time and penalties when they meet up again on the pitch given how evenly matched they appeared.

Both were then given a chance to win a number of tickets for their team mates equivalent to their score with a single dart, and amazingly each landed their arrow straight on single 20 – so there was still no separating them.

We wish both teams best of luck on Wednesday night and look forward to welcoming them to the Royal Highland Centre this weekend.

The Coral Masters will be held from November 1-3 at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh. Tickets are still available by visiting pdc.seetickets.com or by calling 0844 871 8807.
