Merry Christmas From The PDC

THE Professional Darts Corporation wishes its players, fans, sponsors and partners worldwide a Merry Christmas!

The Christmas period brings a three-day break in the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship, before 17 players return to London's Alexandra Palace on Friday as the world's biggest tournament resumes.

Those stars still remaining in the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship will break off from their Christmas celebrations with some practice ahead of their next games as they keep one eye on their dream of lifting the Sid Waddell Trophy.

PDC Chairman Barry Hearn said: "I'd like to wish everyone associated with the PDC a very Merry Christmas, from our brilliant players, the fans who create such a great atmosphere wherever we go worldwide and the sponsors who support us, to the staff who create the world's best darts tournaments.

"This has been an incredible year for the PDC, which started with Phil Taylor becoming World Champion once again but will end with a different player taking home the Sid Waddell Trophy.

"We've seen some sensational matches, thrilling nine-darters and new faces emerging both in the UK and in our international events - notably as we kicked off the World Series of Darts in Dubai and Sydney.

"It's been a hugely memorable 2013 so far and we've still got a few days of action left this year in the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship - don't miss a dart, it will be brilliant!

"Happy Christmas to everyone!"
