THE entries for the European Darts Open in Dusseldorf have been confirmed, ahead of the European Tour event at the Maritim Hotel from July 11-13.
The £100,000 tournament features a field of 48 players, with the top 16 players from the PDC's ProTour Order of Merit qualifying by right to compete in Dusseldorf.
They are headed by Michael van Gerwen - who won last year's European Tour event at the Maritim Hotel - while his rivals will include January's German Darts Championship winner Gary Anderson as well as 2013 European Tour winners Dave Chisnall, Kim Huybrechts, Steve Beaton and Wes Newton.
The UK Qualifier, to be held on Friday June 13 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, features over 10 entries from PDC Tour Card Holders and PDPA Associate Members, with 20 players set to win through to compete in Dusseldorf.
The European Qualifier and Host Nation Qualifier will be held on Thursday July 10 in Dusseldorf, when the remaining 12 spots in the first round will be decided.
