Unibet Masters Race Ends In Crawley

THE race to secure places in The Unibet Masters concludes this weekend, with Ian White aiming to break into the 16 qualifying spots at the Players Championship double-header in Crawley.

This weekend's PDC ProTour tournaments mark the cut-off for places in the second staging of The Unibet Masters, which features the top 16 players from the PDC Order of Merit.

Going into the double-header, only Stoke ace Ian White can break into the current top 16, although the World Championship quarter-finalist would need to win £5,000 prize money - the equivalent of two semi-finals or one final during the weekend - to progress.

Wes Newton, Raymond van Barneveld and Kim Huybrechts are the three players at the bottom of the top 16 whose places could be in jeopardy from White over the weekend in Crawley, providing an added edge for the quartet going into the two Players Championships.

In addition, other players' performances could improve their seedings throughout the weekend, with the draw for The Unibet Masters based on ranking position.

The full field and draw for The Unibet Masters will be confirmed following the events in Crawley.
