Bumper Entry For Iberian Qualifier

OVER 150 players will compete for a place in the William Hill World Darts Championship this Saturday when the Iberian Qualifier is held in Avila, Spain.

The event will see players from Spain, Gibraltar and Portugal competing for a spot in darts' biggest tournament, with the winner earning a place in the preliminary round at Alexandra Palace in December.

The growth of PDC darts across the Iberian peninsular has led to a bumper field of entries for the event, including last year's winner Julio Barbero.

Spanish World Cup stars Antonio Alcinas and Carlos Rodriguez are also in the field, alongside Gibraltar's former World Championship qualifier Dylan Duo.

Dyson Parody and Henry Zapata, who both competed in the Gibraltar Darts Trophy earlier this year, are amongst the players travelling from Gibraltar to the Centro de Congresos y Exposiciones Lienzo Norte in Avila to compete.

A live stream from the event will be available at this link.

All games are the best of 11 legs. Registration is from 11am-12pm on the day, with play commenceing at 12.15pm.
