BIG-TIME darts is to visit Milton Keynes for the first time following the confirmation that The Unibet Masters will be held at ArenaMK next year.
The ITV4-televised event will be held on Saturday January 31 and Sunday February 1 from the ArenaMk, which is a new, multi-purpose arena built into stadiummk, the home of League One football club MK Dons and the DoubleTree by Hilton Milton Keynes.
The Unibet Masters features the world's leading 16 players, including reigning World Champion Michael van Gerwen, 2013 champion Phil Taylor and James Wade, the recent winner on the event's second staging in Edinburgh.
In a change on the Professional Darts Corporation's calendar, The Masters is moving from November to January and from Edinburgh to Milton Keynes, but will still be played across two days with two sessions per day.
"We are delighted to be moving to the new ArenaMK in Milton Keynes for the first time," said PDC Chairman Barry Hearn.
"The Unibet Masters is a prestigious event featuring the world's leading 16 players, as the leading names in the sport compete to be crowned as the best of the best.
"The first two years of the event have seen some sensational darts and I'm sure that next year's tournament will be equally competitive and exciting.
"Coming only weeks after the conclusion of the World Championship at Alexandra Palace, this will be an event not to be missed!"
