Trio Seal Gibraltar & Denmark Spots

Max Hopp (Kelly Deckers, PDC)

MAX HOPP, Cristo Reyes and Jermaine Wattimena enjoyed a qualification double as they won places in the PDC European Tour events in Gibraltar and Copenhagen.

The trio were amongst eight players to secure their places in each event from Wednesday's South & West Europe Qualifier in Frankfurt.

2018 German Darts Open winner Max Hopp denied fellow countryman Gabriel Clemens to follow up wins over Jesus Noguera Perea and Leo Hendriks as he qualified for the Gibraltar event.

The former World Youth Champion then sealed a place in the Danish Darts Open by seeing off Jan Dekker, Hannes Schnier and Christian Kist.

Reyes defeated Dutch trio Jan Dekker, Danny Noppert and Arjan Konterman as he sealed his place in next weekend's Gibraltar Darts Trophy.

He later sealed a spot in the Danish Darts Open in Copenhagen with wins over Austrian duo Rowby-John Rdoriguez and Zoran Lerchbacher and reigning World Youth Champion Dimitri Van den Bergh.

Wattimena secured his place in the Gibraltar Darts Trophy by defeating Michael Rasztovits, Rusty-Jake Rodriguez and fellow Dutchman Ron Meulenkamp.

He then qualified for the inaugural event in Denmark with wins over Wilco Vermuelen, Vincent Kamphuis and Michael Rosenauer.

Former Austrian Darts Open winner Vincent van der Voort, Spains Toni Alcinas, Belgian youngster Mike De Decker, Dutchman Jeffrey de Graaf and Austria's Hannes Schnier also sealed spots in the Gibraltar Darts Trophy.

Van der Voort was denied a place in the Danish Darts Open with a defeat to Dragutin Horvat in the decisive game of their qualifier.

Former Premier League star Jelle Klaasen and recent Players Championship wniner Jeffrey de Zwaan were further Dutch qualifiers for the Copenhagen event.

Austrian youngster Rusty-Jake Rodriguez joined Germany's Martin Schindler as the other qualifiers for the Danish Darts Open.
