Expanded JDC Tour Set To Begin

Jurjen van der Velde (Lawrence Lustig, PDC)

THE JDC's 2019 Scott Farms International Junior Darts Tour begins on Saturday January 12 with a double-header in Wolverhampton.

The growth of the Junior Darts Corporation circuit will see five double-headers held throughout 2019, with two tournaments being held on one day for players aged 10-18.

The opening day will be held on January 12 in Wolverhampton, before visiting Dorchester in February, Solihull in March, Manchester in April and Worcester in May.

The year will then conclude with the Grand Finals, which culminate on stage at Alexandra Palace with the Junior World Champion being crowned during December.

Entry costs £5 per event for JDC members and £10 per event for non-members.

The 2018 season was dominated by Hertfordshire's Brad Phillips, who won three of the eight events held across the UK last year before winning the JDC European Open.

However, it was Dutch youngster Jurjen van der Velde (pictured) who took victory in the Junior World Championship final, defeating Lennon Cradock at Ally Pally in the final.
