A number of amendments have been made to the PDC calendar, including the inclusion of a third Players Championship in PDC Super Series 6 next month.
Continued restrictions in relation to travel across Europe mean that only two European Tour events have been confirmed so far in 2021.
As such, the planned ET4-5 Tour Card Holder Qualifiers on Wednesday August 4 will be replaced by a third Players Championship in PDC Super Series 6.
This will then mean that PDC Super Series 8 in November will only feature three Players Championships, with only the Cazoo Grand Slam of Darts Tour Card Holder being held on November 5.
In addition, August 9 will now see only two UK Associate Member Qualifiers staged for the European Tour events in Budapest and Gibraltar.
"Whilst restrictions are beginning to ease in the UK and in some countries, there are still issues around travel both to and from many areas which have prevented us from confirming any further European Tour events so far," said PDC Chief Executive Matt Porter.
"We are continuing to work with our partners, however this has given us the opportunity to add a third Players Championship into August's PDC Super Series."
